Java Web Start (JWS) is a framework that allows users to run Java application software directly from the Internet using a web browser.  Technically speaking, JWS applications do not run inside the browser like Java applets, and as such have more capability and less restrictions.  Startech has successfully migrated legacy Java applications, some with multiple man-years of engineering hours invested, to JWS and extended the life of these applications for our clients.
