Startech project management is based on CMMI processes and procedures.  We believe that the control of requirements, quality, and schedule is a matter of process (we apply a complete set of CMMI Process Areas) and experience. 

Requirement Management

Startech project managers work with clients to establish project requirements in the form of use cases.  As part of this process, we:

  • Peer-review all requirements and make commitments to all approved requirements
  • Track all use cases by a matrix with corresponding design specs and test cases
  • Track all change requests to their closure with a ticketing system
  • Identify inconsistencies between project work and requirements and make corrections

Project Planning

Startech project managers develop the preliminary project schedule with our client. After initial analysis of the project requirements, a project schedule matrix is developed to:

  • Define project milestones with the delivery date and delivery modules
  • Allocate competent resources to the modules

Schedule Management

Startech monitors project schedules carefully and discusses schedule matters routinely with our clients, taking corrective actions when required.  For our clients, we:

  • Have weekly or ‘as needed’ project meetings to monitor progress, performance, and issues
  • Track milestone delivery closely

Design and Implementation Quality Management

  • Implement structured internal reviews for design document, code, and test cases
  • Control our document/software versions strictly via Configuration Management tool
  • Track all implementation defects via bug tracking tool
